Barometer - absolute pressure meter, model CMCB11

General information

     The instrument CMCB11 is intended for measurement of absolute pressure in the range of 50 ÷ 1500 hPa, with uncertainty of reading lower than ±1 hPa. The result is displayed with resolution of 0.1 hPa. CMCB11 is a portable system containing built-in accumulators, in plastic housing of high quality (dimensions: 150x85x30mm).

Construction and operating principle

     The silicone piezoresistive sensor configured on bridge connection scheme, was used to measure the absolute pressure. The above mentioned sensor was used in CMCB11 in order to obtain highly accurate measurements, almost linear static characteristic, long termed stability of readings and to reduce the influence of pressure hysteresis as well as temperature hysteresis. The electronic part of the instrument is composed of precise analogue input circuits and the microprocessor which controls the entire system. Owing to the microprocessor system the instrument CMCB11 is individually calibrated and compensated for temperature range 0 ÷ 50 °C. On special ordering CMCB11 are made for extended operating temperature range.

     The meter is delivered together with the certificate of measurement accuracy. SENSOTRON company guarantees the possibility of performing the recalibration and checks of the instrument confirmed by an appropriate certificate. For our regular customers it is possible to receive a substitute during the recalibration period.


     The meter is supplied with two computer programs. The first is the typical user program by means of which the user can change meter settings as well as update the internal software of the device. The latest version of the software is available on the website.

     The second program allows you to publish values measured by the pressure meter on the local network and the Internet. The software uses the mechanism by which it is possible to create and share a variable by the processes that have access to network resources, regardless of the operating system under the control of the work. The adopted solution is based on a mechanism developed by National Instrument that uses NI Publish-Subscribe Protocol (NI-PSP).This mechanism is an improved version of a solution based on DataSocket servers. The software is fully compatible with the package LabView and LabWindows CVI. The exchange of data between the instrument and any software, written in these packages is only to determine the source of the data, so you only need to point to CMCB11.
